About

The EIT Community RIS Hub Ukraine, in collaboration with Sigma Software Labs and with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, is hosting the Ukrainian regional competition of the Startup World Cup 2025.

This local round is part of the UNICORN program and serves as a gateway for Ukrainian startups to compete on the global stage at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in Silicon Valley, where participants will vie for a $1 million investment prize.

Application Requirements

Startups interested in participating must:

  • Have an operational presence in Ukraine (office, development center, or remote team).
  • Have more than 50% ownership held by Ukrainian nationals.

About the Organizers

EIT Community RIS Hub Ukraine

Launched in December 2023 in Kyiv, the hub connects Ukrainian entrepreneurs, academics, and innovators with the EU’s innovation ecosystem. It provides access to educational, entrepreneurial, and financial support programs, including grants (€10,000–€250,000) and venture financing. In 2023, EIT invested over €4 million in Ukraine to strengthen the local economy.

About the Startup World Cup

The Startup World Cup, organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures, is a global series of startup competitions held across more than 75 regions worldwide. The top startups from each regional event compete in the Grand Finale in Silicon Valley for a $1 million investment.

The investment prize may be structured as equity in the startup’s most recent round or as a convertible note, depending on the stage and funding history of the winning company.
