BAT Ecosystem Challenges

The main aim of the BAT Ecosystem Challenges is to encourage collaborative innovation initiatives among prominent local and international startups, tech firms, and members of the BAT community. To facilitate this, BAT has established three primary challenge categories to boost the competitiveness of its members.

Our objectives include attracting innovative solutions that can be applied in real-world settings within Biscay and enabling startups to partner with BAT community companies for testing and proof-of-concept projects. Startups chosen by BAT B Accelerator Tower will have the chance to take part in a sponsored three-day trip to the Bizkaia region, where they can attend B Acceleration Week, discover the area, and forge important business connections.

Startup World Cup

BAT B Accelerator Tower is pleased to collaborate once again with Pegasus Ventures to host the regional competition for the Startup World Cup.

The winner of this regional competition will have the opportunity to progress to the esteemed Global Grand Finale Semifinals and Final in San Francisco in October 2025. There, they will compete against champions from over 70 regional competitions around the globe for a chance to win a $1 million investment prize.

The BAT Biscay Startup Challenge in 2023 and the Startup World Cup Iberia Regional Final in 2024 were significant events, showcasing top startups and their innovative solutions. These competitions highlighted exceptional startups from across the country and beyond, all competing for a prestigious place in the grand finale.
